Furthermore, your example of Galileo is very good because it proves
that the people of the day had absolutely no idea what they were
talking about.

This example shows that religious interpretation evolves and changes
depending on scientific knowledge available. no one today would make
such a claim as the church people in this days because scientific
knowledge has advanced, not because of anything God supposedly told
them.

Religion is the single biggest factor holding back the evolution of
the human race. Think where we would be today if we had not had
centuries upon centuries of hold back the masses in the name if
religion. Refer my pints below about crowd control.

It is precisely because people disregarded religion that we have the
scientific knowledge we have today.

Religion and God has nothing what so ever to do with Science.
